Rob has spent the last 18 years developing his sound engineering and production skills across a wide range of disciplines. Starting his career as a lighting designer in 1988 he quickly realised the error of his ways and re-trained in sound engineering.
Since then Rob has spent his time engineering live acts including BILLY BRAGG, CJ BOLLAND, SIXTH, THE ZUTONS, SERAFIN, EAT STATIC and MARI WILSON. In his early career Rob worked with such legends as VAN HALEN, PULP, U2 and ROYKSOPP.
When not out touring Rob worked on several television series including the GABBY ROSLIN SHOW (BLACK ON BLOND), BIG MOUTH (RAPIDO TV) and TFI FRIDAY (GINGER). He could also be found working as system tech for Skan PA and Entec Sound & Light as well as venue engineer for the Mean Fiddler Group at the now defunct POWERHAUSE, THE GARAGE and THE MEAN FIDDLER itself.
Rob has worked as both Location Sound Recordist and Post Production Sound Designer for several films and has completed DigiDesign Pro Tools Training in both Production Techniques (201) and Production Techniques for Post Production (210P). His pearls of wisdom can also be found gracing the pages of such publications as LIGHTING AND SOUND INTERNATIONAL, PRO SOUND NEWS EUROPE, AUDIO MEDIA, LIGHTING DIMENSIONS AND TOTAL PRODUCTION magazines.
