All studios doing voice over and post production work need to have reliable, easy to use, flexible and cost effective cue lights. The Punchlight system provides all of this and gives the artist, producer and recording engineer a sense of control and communication ensuring the session can continue to flow and be creative withouth having to worry about another piece of technology! Providing visual cueing of Pre-roll and Record directly from Pro Tools the Punchlight system is the ideal visual cueing system for studios large and small.
The Punchlight system comprises of many different display options, some of which can be customised, as well as two different trigger boxes allowing control via either Digidesign MIDI or SYNC I/O interfaces.

Universal Studio Display
The Universal Studio Display vastly expands the features of the Timecode Displays and Recording Displays. In addition to timecode, the Universal Studio Display can show much more useful session details like bars/beats, time elapsed, or samples. It also has a full Punchlight mode, indicating record start/stop and standby to let the talent know what’s going on. Included is also a remote control for all functions.

Recording Display
The PunchLight Recording Display is a black panel which displays bright "Recording" text as soon as you hit that familiar red button in Pro Tools. To help the talent to know when you're rec ready or prerolling, it shows yellow stripes left and right.
Recording Display comes in two designs, Classic and Retro. Custom labels, text or graphic can also be ordered. It comes in a classy brushed aluminium casing - with two wooden versions available upon request. This is the one to hang on a clearly visible place to pimp up your studio's looks and tell the talent when it's the time to give everything.
You can use Recording Displays, Recording Lamps and Recording Strips in any combination with MIDI TriggerBox 3 or GPI ThruBox - up to three lights per MIDI or GPI box.

Recording Lamp
The Recording Lamp is a small plexiglass light with classy wooden base with a cool light effect thanks to it's skewed plexglass design. Red light indicates recording mode and yeallow light tells you when preroll/rec ready is active.
The Recording Lamp is perfect for control room for overdubbing situations where the talent is in the room but doesn't want to have to look over engineer's shoulder what's going on The producer will also appreciate the clear feedback of recording status.

Recording Strip
The Recording Strip is a compact and practical LED strip. The bright row of red LEDs indicates the recording mode of Pro Tools. The Recording strip is a cost-effective signal light for places where functionality are more important than fancy looks. It makes a perfect companion to Recording Light and Recording Lamp for using the third output of the trigger box.

The Midi SwitcherBox 3 is a switcher to connect up to three light units simultaneously. It works with Recording Display, Recording Lamp and Recording Strip.

GPI ThruBox
The GPI ThruBox is a switcher interface for connecting up to three Punchlight display units at once. It's compatible with Recording Display, Recording Lamp or Recording Strip.
GPI ThruBox connects to the GPI port of SYNC I/O and works with Pro Tools HD without drivers. You can daisy-chain multiple units for more than three lamps.

Timecode Displays
The TimeCode Display is perfect for visual TC feedback under the silver screen in a post professional production studio. Even huge screens find their match from the five different sizes up to the 1.5m wide XXL version. Smaller TC Displays are also very practical for talent guide if the video doesn't have burned-in timecode which is many times the case nowadays when video is coming from a non-linear editing system.
