out post sound becomes exclusive UK distributor for Pro Tools Punchlight cue light system
out post sound has become the exclusive UK distributor for the Punchlight range of automatic recording indication cue lights for Pro Tools systems.
The system, which integrates directly with Pro Tools HD, LE and M-Powered DAW recording software, comprises of trigger boxes to connect to Digidesign MIDI or SYNC interfaces as well as a range of cue light and ‘Recording In Progress’ displays.
The Recording Display is designed for studios where aesthetics are important. The large LED alpha/numeric unit features visual PRE-ROLL and RECORDING information for voice-over artists and can be wall mounted. Various options and customisations are also available on request. The smaller desktop Recording Lamp, mounted in a solid wooden base, provides the same visual cue information in colour form as the Recording Display, while the compact Recording Strip features a row of red high intensity LEDs that illuminate when Pro Tools is in pre-roll or record — ideal for mounting outside a studio door.
The trigger boxes come in two flavours. The SwitchBox 3 for integration into a MIDI interface and the GPI ThruBox for connection to a SYNC I/O interface, provide all of the control hardware for any of the cue lights.
Rob Speight, Managing Director of out post said: “We are very excited to have taken on distribution of these products in the UK. The system is a fully integrated, easy to install and provides quick, automated visual cueing to voice-over artists enabling the recording engineer to concentrate on what they do best.”
