out post sound were recently approached by PriceWaterhouseCooper's Forensic Division to perform a clean up operation.

In a new departure for the company out post took several recordings of interviews from cassette and removed excessive amounts of background noise and interference introduced by a faulty cassette recorder. In addition, the audio was equalised to allow transcription - something that was not possible before we cleaned the audio - it was amazingly bad!

The audio was finally copied back to tape cassette - finding those was hard enough! - and CD and returned to allow the transcription process to be completed.

Finally, out post wrote a report on the processing that had been carried out as the resulting cleaned audio could be used in the investigation of financial fraud - not something we were anticipating being involved in when we formed the company!
